Happy New Year 2010!!!
Our newly repainted building exterior adorned with parols (given by Fr. Allen of the Annunciation Parish) greeting our guests and visitors during the Christmas season. The repainting was to protect the roof and steel windows from rust and further damage.
Two LFC puppies that are well-loved by visitors. They are ASKALS known to be the best guard dogs in the Philippines.

LFC STAFF Christmas Party
Our message of love and joy cannot remain in the church pulpit. We have to celebrate Christmas knowing that it's magic is real, undeniable and true. At LFC, we tried to do that today.
Thanks be to God for the gift of Christmas. We invited the staff and their families, we shared some gifts and prizes, we had some laughters and tears. All part of the joy the season brings! Here are our pictures:
The real Fr. Mario smiling to make people smile during the homily.
He said three things to the staff: (1) God has a plan for each one - even for a janitor, dishwasher, secretary like us. God had a plan for the world that is why he sent his Son Jesus to save us. God has a plan to bring us all to eternal happiness in heaven. (2) We are serving God, Church, the People of God - not Fr. Mario. All of us are privileged to have an opportunity to serve at LFC. We have different jobs, but we serve the same God, the same Church, the same People. (3) Let us be joyful. True happiness is not found in what we have but rather in how we find happiness in where we live, what we do, and how we serve.
After the mass picture of the workers at LFC. From top left (clockwise): Marlon (gardener), Michael (guard), John (driver), Chester (janitor), Ramil (dishwasher), Demar (kitchen keeper), Sr. Margie (cook), Fr. Mario, Delia (secretary), Sr. Raphaela (bookeeper), and Louie (maintenance).
Ate Susan facilitates the Hep-hep hurray game for the staff!
Demar gets the most coveted gift of P5,000 during the Christmas Party. It was very touching because everyone believes he is most deserving. His mother left her job to take care of her very sick daughter, their house was burned by fire last year, and he is working his way to school. LFC is sending him through college and he is now on his third year in B.S. Criminology.
By the way, this is the second year he completed the novena masses at dawn to pray for some financial help for her family. God listened! Talk about the magic at Christmas!

Father Soc Celebrates Mass with Lay Ministers at LFC!
Our dear Archbishop, Fr. Soc, presides over the Eucharist on the last day of the Updating-Seminar on the Family at LFC. This updating was attended by more than 280 Lay Ministers.
On the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, the Archbishop preached about the Call of the Laity to be Contemplatives (prayerful), to Communicate the Love of Jesus, and to be men and women of Compassion.
Thanks to the KIND Archbishop for taking the time to have pictures with all of us after the Mass.

Admin and Personnel Retreat of the Divine Word College of Bangued
The Administration, Office and College Personnel of the Divine Word College of Bangued had their retreat at LFC from December 9 to 11. This is the third group from the same college in Abra. The retreat was appreciated because of the topics on the Family and Happiness. At the end of the retreat, the Gratitude Session became a very touching experience for most in the group. Before they left for home (in Abra), they sang at the Eucharistic Celebration in Manaoag. Fr. Mario facilitated the retreat, assisted by Sis. Susan.
After their pilgrimage at the shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary in Manaoag, the group had lunch by the Tondaligan beach.

St. Charles Academy - Grade VI Recollection
This is the first time that the elementary pupils and the High School students of St. Charles Academy, San Carlos City under the able directorship of Fr. Jimmy Quinto are having their recollection at LFC. The first experience is memorable for us at LFC who saw the students enjoy their one day with the Lord!
